-: Guidelines for the event :-

  • Project Expo is a technical event in which the participants should prepare their project at home/institute and they have to bring the project to demonstrate it.
  • All the projects should be prepared by the team members only.
  • There is only one round and the best are chosen by the judges.
  • Registration : Intending participants are required to Submit a half page of synopsis describing basic scientific principle, economics and applications of the proposed project.
  • Registration Process : The Registration should be through online mode by using Aavahan’21 website aavahan.ptu.ac.in.
  • The project can be individual or a group project ( not more then four participants ).
  • Group project must be reflect the work of all the members.
  • Register Exhibitors are responsible for sitting up their models for evaluation by jury members.
  • Do not display Institute name on the project.
  • Only registration ID must be displayed on your project.
  • Jury decision will be final.
  • All Aavahan’21 coordinators have rights to verify the identity details of all the participants.
  • Arguments/Canvassing in any manner would intend disqualification of the candidate/team.
  • Any dispute with regard to selection process or any other dispute with judges and co-ordinators will directly let to disqualification of candidate/team.
  • Co-ordinators have right to disqualify the candidate/team in case of any argument or misbehave or damage the property of university.
  • No Responsibility will be held by Aavahan’21 IKGPTU for any late lost or misdirected entry.
  • The data presented by the team should be original.
  • Project should be developed by the team itself only.
  • Plagiarism is prohibited.
  • The intending participants must carry ID cards from their respective institutes as proof of their identity of participations.
  • While registering your project/model online kindly make sure that name of team members provided are correct as the same will be printed on your certificates.
  • All selected participants will receive participation certificate.
  • Participants should bring all their requirements to execute their project.
  • Students are solely responsible for security and safety of their equipment.
  • No hazardous, toxic or flammable materials are to be used.
  • Teams will be given a space to set up their model/design at the venue. Additionally, they will be provided table, stools, and extension cable/board, if required.
  • No PC will be provided to any team. Students can bring their own laptop.
  • The COVID-19 guidelines provided by the Punjab government will be followed.
  • University reserves the right to postponed/cancel the event without any prior information at any stage.

Selection Criteria

A team of scientists and technologists will evaluate all projects. The criteria of evaluation would be :

  1. Design Originality and Innovativeness
  2. Performance of the project
  3. Compactness and efficiency
  4. Team effort
  5. Scientific Principle/Approach and technical skills
  6. Application and utility
  7. Presentation/Explanation and Demonstration
